Today was a pretty regular day, I read as the first thing in the morning (I finished reading M Is For Magic by Neil Gaiman.), and then I mostly studied. I continued reading and annotating the book I am currently studying for my political institutions class, and continued to review my prehistory notes (which are way messier than they look, and they look pretty messy). I also continued listening to the audiobook of The Shining by Stephen King.
Tranquil's winter studying challenge // Nov. 13th
The challenge suggests an additional question to set an intention for the day. Since I always post at the end of the day I decided to switch it up with writing something I am grateful about for each day.
Today, I am grateful because my mom randomly decided to get me a sweater as a present, for no particular reason other than she saw it and thought of me. It was really sweet.
Day One: The beginning of the challenge, woohoo you did it! A lot of the time starting is the hardest part. So, tell us a little bit about yourself! What are you studying currently, what where are you in your life right now? Are you happy with where you are right now? What are your goals in doing this challenge?
Okay so, a lot to start with! I am (tecnically) very close to getting my degree in history. I have four exams left, and then I will have to work on my thesis. At the moment I am studying for a prehistory and protohistory exam I will have on the 25th of November, and for a class on the history of political institutions. I'd like to do the exam for this class in November aswell, but I am not sure I will be able to fully study for it. I cannot say that I am fully happy about where I am at the moment, I am dealing with a lot of confusion and just feeling like I have no idea where I am going, and where I want to go. I found that at the moment the best way for me to deal with everything without feeling too overwhealmed is to take things day by day. This whole thing has been affecting my motivation with studying, and I hope that this challenge will be of help with keeping some sort of motivation in my daily life!

today my goals are to get started on homework and make a list of what is due this week
day one: I'm Tess, currently in my 3rd year of university studying physics (with a minor in astronomy). I'm not sure if I'm happy but I'm mentally much healthier than I have been and my main goal for this challenge is to be consistent... hopefully.
Today, I choose to be grateful, no matter what happens, because God is good.
Day Thirteen of Tranquil's winter studying challenge: How do you feel about taking a "self-care day" and not studying for a day or two?
Sometimes the study comunity can be really toxic while making the impression that we always need to be the perfect student and be productive. I think that is pretty normal to take a rest and have a self care-day. We don't need to be productive every single day!
Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I've done one of these more traditional studying challenges, the last one I did being in April to May. Wow, such a long time. But, I'm back and hopefully you guys will join me in celebrating the wintertime with this new studying challenge! It is very similar to the last one I did, as not all the questions are study-related but I think it would be an awesome way for us to all connect through the winter time, get to know each other better and hold each other closer this winter season! (Also I should mention that technically this won't start in winter, but since I live in Canada winter is kind of a skewed season that lasts most of the year for me haha)
CHALLENGE INFORMATION:
You are more than welcome to answer these questions whenever you find them! You can start early or later than when the collective challenge starts. but if you wanted to join the group and do it with (what I'm hoping will be) a whole bunch of other people, I'll be officially starting the challenge on November 13th, 2021.
This challenge has 30 questions or challenges for each day, and will therefore end on December 13th, 2021 (if my counting skills serve me right, which they didn't the last time but here's to hoping they've improved)! Again, you can answer these questions in bunches like I typically do if you've been watching my posts for a while or you can answer them once a day, whatever works best for you! I really do hope the questions connect with you, as they're a little bit all over the place but I was hoping to challenge some of us with some more unique questions :) as well as a ton of fun ones!
And, just like last time, I will be making a tag list to add to this main post so that people can see who else is planning on doing this challenge! I may try and make it into a separate post and just pin it to this blog, I'll see what works best for me and for you guys too. Regardless, there will be a tag list and if you want to be added to it, lease reblog this post! I'll then add your name! You can also send me an ask in my ask box (no DMS please, I find them too hard to keep up with and see) if you want to be added or removed from said list :)
Starting on November 13th I will also be tracking the tag #tranquilwinterbuddies so please use this tag when you're posting about this challenge! I would absolutely love to see and share your posts!
QUESTIONS:
So, in my last challenge I had people start each day by setting themselves an intention, or a goal, or just by stating their mindset for that day and a lot of people seemed to like that, so I'm bringing it back here! So, every day (or for every post you make for the challenge), an additional question is added where you can simply fill in one of the choices here:
1. Today, I am ________. (Stating your mindset or emotional state for the day. I find this can help me to accept emotional states or certain states of mind when I'm feeling confusion or doubt).
2. Today, I choose ______. (Inspired by Yoga with Adrienne, whom I still admire very much).
3. Today, my goals are _________. (what do you want to accomplish today?)
You can switch up your choices too, or you can fill out two or all three of them if you want to! Just pick one, two or three that you feel suits you best for that post. Or, you can make your own if you want!

30.11.2021, 1.12.2021 & 2.12.2021 || 19+20+21/100 days of productivity
How is it already December? Days are flying past and honestly, after the dumpster fire the last two years have been, I don't know what to expect from the new year. I so want it to be my year, and to be optimistic about the new beginning, but I just can't after all the challenges we have faced the last two years, so unexpected and so devastating. On a brighter note, the festive season is coming! Can't wait to buy some stuff for myself once exams get over and also celebrate all the anniversaries and birthdays that fall during this jolly month <3
My goals for the days were:
30th November-
Revise the prose and poems for the exam
Note down stuff that seems important
1st December-
Sample Question Paper Solving
Reading Comprehension practice since that's where I make the most mistakes
2nd December-
Last day revision for the English Exam
Going through important words, poetic devices, formats and other stuff based on the questions I solved.
Now for the two awesome Winter Studying Challenges I am taking part in🌨️ (Under the cut):
❄️ Myhoneststudyblr's Winter Studying Challenge:
Day 1, 1st December: Do you like winter?
Winters are my happy place!
Day 2, 2nd December: What is your favourite thing about winter?
I love the festive mood, the long nights, and the soft, serene warmth of the sun in the cold.
❄️ Tranquilstudy's Winter Studying Challenge:
Day Eighteen: If you could study abroad, where would you go?
Honestly I have never thought about studying abroad, but I guess I will go to the US because I have heard a lot about the med schools there and also my elder brother studies there, so yeah.
Day Nineteen: Do you prefer silence or noise when you are focusing? How about when you're relaxing?
I usually prefer some white noise, I have trouble focusing if things get too quite, it gets on my nerves. Otherwise I will put on some chill lofi. Even when I am relaxing, I am either listening to my fav songs or lofi.
Day Twenty: Give yourself some love today! Post a picture of yourself or your favourite outfit and tell us five things you love about yourself!
Skipping the photo part, hope it's okay!
Five things I love about myself (this is so hard everytime I do it)
I love how I appreciate little things in life
I love how I am willing to strive for my dreams
I love my excitement for stationery and books
I love how I can bring a smile on someone's face through my words
I love how, despite everything, I am still here, trying, fighting, to make my future a bright one.

I have an exam from Women and the domestic life in Antique Greece next friday, but I'm also starting at work next week and have two other deadlines, so I studied as much as I could. I refuse to study anymore today, I need to take care of my back (especially after yesterday).
3. Today my goals were to finish revising before 8pm.
Day fifteen:
Do you feel like art and creativity is something to be shared, or something that should be more personal? Do you feel like there is more merit given to people that share their creations and art with the public?
I think it depends on the individual. Not everything created is meant to be shared. Sometimes it's meant to be finished and burned, and that's okay. While I admire those, who are able to freely share their creations, that doesn't mean that just because someone's work isn't perceived, it is not valuable or worth adoration.
Going back to school today was very tiring...but I made it! I did my reading for History and took the online quiz this evening, I got an okay score but only missed points on the review parts so I guess I need to study figures and movements during the Mao era for the test. I then read the final part of Chronicle of a Death Foretold in order to prepare to write my QQ paper tomorrow. I think the final section is the best in the book :) I also have prescribed title worth 200 points that will be handed into IB due on Wednesday so that’s a bit scary,,hopefully I can edit it well;;
1. Today, I am tired and a bit stressed.
2. Today, I choose to not let the stress consume me, and instead work rationally towards my goals.
3. Today, my goals were to prepare for my two big papers. (Complete!)
