#transformationtuesday when I first started really training for my 10k compared to now. One of the first activities I tracked with the Runkeeper app (which btw, I love) on June 28th compared to my stats from the Wicked 10k on October 29th. Down 25 minutes 🙌🏼 Yay, I'm very excited about this transformation picture, even if it's just a screen shot of my run stats, because it shows an improvement on what I can do versus just how I look. Trained my booty off for this run, all summer in the awful heat (for real, this summer I thought I was going to die 😅) and am very proud of my time. Hard work and dedication will get you where you want to be 💪🏼 don't give up on your goals just because you don't achieve them quickly, it will take time. It took my 4 months to shave 25 minutes off my time. At times did I want to give up? heck yeah. Was it hard? Yes it was. Did I want to go running in 100+ degree weather? No, no I did not. Discipline is doing what needs to be done even when you don't want to. My goal was to Run the majority of a 10k, I thought that after 30 minutes I'd slow down, walk for a minute, then start running again. Well 30 minutes came and I decided to keep pushing to 45 minutes, which then pushed to 5 more minutes every time my app would update me with my time and distance, until I hit the 5 mile mark then it was get to the finish line.
