It’s ‘Direct Productions Caption Competition Wednesday’!
A while ago I was asked to produce and direct a ten part series for Netflix called ‘Click For Murder’ about social media related murders. One of the most challenging things about producing that series was filming the drama reconstructions of the ten murders, the build ups to those ten tragedies and the ensuing investigations into those horrendous crimes in just over a week. Most of the time we had to film two dramas a day – which was only achievable because I had an amazing team helping me out.
We also had some incredible extras who gave everything to make it work – this chap even gave us his right arm! Can you think of a caption to go with the photo?
In other news, I really enjoyed presenting my ‘How To Get Into the Media Industries’ to 240 Leeds students yesterday – there were some great questions. I’m giving the talk again on Friday morning at 10.30am over zoom. There are still spaces – if you’d like to join, please e mail me at [email protected]
Also on Thursday October 27th from 12 noon to 4pm I’m running a zoom workshop about getting into the media industries – finding media contacts, introductory e mails, media cv formatting, job interview technique, runner skills, TV researcher skills etc. For more info go to https://www.directproductions.co.uk/upcoming-courses. To book a place, e mail me!
All the best
