This is the first out of three Tung oil coat on the tractrix horns. To reach a semi-transparent and a soft touch finish, I sand the oil in with #380 grit paper. Careful sanding balances the violet tone (fading away its opacity) versus the wood stratas. I let it sit for 10 minutes then I wipe the excess. The additional coats are applied with a lint free cotton cloth to obtain a satin lustre and to protect the wood surface. I wait 24 hours for the second coat and 48 additional for the last one. 🔊🙂🔊 🎶 P.S.
