TUBESTRIKE BEST SONGS OF 2013 #13
Plush (Jacques Lu Cont Remix) by Tiga
Tiga at his nutty best. No shoes and hair combing, it's all calculators and secretary's this time. We know his fondness for rave (not nu-rave, just ...RAVE) and he's frequently proved himself to be the best producer out there at harnessing and representing the most charming bits of the Altern 8 back catalogue in dance music. However, it was good old Stuart Price who pressed the turbo rave button on this one. Classic Jacques Lu Cont breakdown - no-one does it better.
Whilst I found Stuart's Tracques album a bit too tricky and at the other end of the spectrum, his collaboration with Alex Metric too shameless an attempt to squeeze into Calvin Harris' Las Vegas territory, few names get my undivided listening attention more than Stuart Price. Let's hope that Les Rythmes Digitales album gets out in 2014.

It seems Monsieur Lu Cont put this up last month, and I'm just now getting around to it. I'm enjoying this immensely.
2013 has been a busy year for that guy:
this Palindrome thing
Pet Shop Boys album
Tracques album
post-MDNA
his Bromance single
collabs
remixes, remixes, remixes, and more remixes.
So when's the follow up to Darkdancer finally happening?
G'night.
