Seregauss’s version of Trace’s theme really makes you think of how terrifying the Kriken are. I mean, taking Trace as an example of the model Kriken and using the external information on the Empire as a whole, Kriken are unspeaking, insectoid creatures that can turn invisible, use laser snipers, and crawl around on three legs sometimes. They can also just appear on your planet out of nowhere and there’s a strong likelihood that they’ll bring millions more and devour your whole world in a tide of crimson. The original name of this track, The Red Scourge, I think fits the perception of the Kriken in universe.
