The 9.09.16 (909) day is (for some reason announced by Roland) to be expected as amazing Roland vintage analog instrument reveal day. Some Pics leaked within the social media what is going to be expected from Roland. Certainly some classic items in the boutique format. 

This units will apparently be digital driven despite that most of customers would welcome a analog revival of those old classic instruments which could contribute an amazing part to the electronic music scene. The community is fighting with arguments whether this units will sound like the original but whether or not, it is something to be neglected. I was always convinced about all products which came from Japan and they have their right to exist. If one would like to have the original sound of the classic drum machines the ones shall use good available sample packs (e.g. www.goldbaby.co.nz) in order to be able to work with “good” sounding 909 material for just some $. Major part of this boutique format items is to play with a kind of hardware around which looks quite classic and one can have some “machine furnitures” for the home studio.
