I love all the penumbra characters but the Ruby 7 is hitting home for me in a way I rlly didn’t expect. Is it unhinged to relate to a character that is a (not)Car to the extent that I do? I guess maybe? I’m not about to type out an essay but as a person who spent most of their life undiagnosed and always just trying trying trying to fit and make people happy, watching this little alien desperately adore the humans around it and do whatever it can to try and make them as happy as possible in the shortest amount of time is really just… relatable. Even with all the Ruby is capable of, it still gets it wrong even though logic and efficiency demands the course of action should be correct. Ruby is so gentle and changes shape and tries so hard. And I am just so grateful for this character, and all the ways I can see myself in it.
