So Disney has apparently announced a live action project for Princess Tiana but it's NOT a remake, it sounds more like a sequel or a spinoff and honestly? I'm actually cautiously optimistic about this because they're overdoing it with the remakes (although I still kind of want Atlantis), but if they insist on making LA projects connected to the animated ones with no signs of stopping, I think this is actually a much better route than just remaking things that have very little to be improved upon. Coming up with a new story in the same universe instead of rehashing the existing story which will inevitably pale in comparison to the animated version anyway just makes way more sense to me. I get that it's essentially OUAT adjacent but imo they did my girl's entire storyline so dirty in s7 that I want the chance for it to be done better. Maybe. I will be keeping my eye on whatever this project is if for no other reason than curiosity
