So, Zagorka saved me from this year’s boring summer job =) I’m amazed by her stories and cannot believe they haven’t been published on the European market yet! The variety of interesting characters, especially female ones, and the complex plots based on historical events make it hard to stop reading. Fortunately, Zagorka was a restless writer and journalist, spending weeks in archives and publishing non-stop despite malicious male coworkers and harsh critics. Some of her works have never been published until this year and I still haven’t got all of them, but winter is coming and I spend it rather with Zagorka’s queens and lords than the boring ones from GoT ;)
