Still, not mad. • @toyotter Today with have the other big Marvel expatriate, Steve Ditko, and maybe his biggest DC contribution in the 70s: the Creeper! Sadly, he's been more of a great design in search of a character that sticks, but that design goes a long way. And he'd look awesome on the shelf with the rest of the Super Powers line! (and of course, was actually proposed by Kenner.) I tried to make his face more with a hint of mania rather than the discount Joker head he usually gets. I mean, the guy IS a handsome new anchor, after all! MIght rework those hands a bit more later. Now, I'm as big of a fan of Kenner's 1990 Swamp Thing line as anyone...but the Moore/Bissette Swampy just isn't MY Swamp Thing. MY version is the classic Bernie Wrightson design, with sleek mossy muscles and rippling roots! And ears, dammit!! So that's the sculpt I made. I gave him a graduated paint job like the 90s classic Snare Arm Swamp Thing figure, but with a more muted color palette. found out that the sculptor of Regine also sculpted the “Jerrica” head mold. I questioned if she knew why it was a “Jerrica” head, and she said they didn’t really know who the heads were going to be. The sculptures created sketches, and Hasbro had them make wax head molds if they liked the sketch.
