Bandai Namco US Shows Off 2026 Lineup at 2026 New York Toy Fair

Want to know what’s happening this year? Look no further than the 2026 New York Toy Fair booth! Bandai Namco US was in attendance at the Jacob Javits Center this weekend in Hudson Yards, New York City. The Tamagotchi brand had their own booth per usual with the Tamagotchi team, including Tara Badie, Senior Brand Director in attendance meeting with the press to review the latest and great products that will go to market this year.
Not only was the Tamagotchi team there, but Mametchi also made an appearance! He was last spotted at the Jacob Javits Center for New York Comic-Con 2026 back in October, 2025.

Bandai Namco US didn’t show off too much, so there will likely be many more surprises coming to celebrate the 30th anniversary. Julie aka tolovelfromvine was in attendance and was able to get some face time with the Tamagotchi team.

First, there were plenty of plushies, it looks like those Bandai Namco Puri Nui plushies of Tamagotchi Paradise characters Mametchi, Meowtchi, Irukatchi, Horhotchi and Mimitchi are headed to the US for $35 USD with a release of Fall 2026. Did you spot the Super Big Mametchi plush? Seems like he’s coming to the US!

Second, more keychain plushies are coming! Bandai Namco Chibi Nui including Meowtchi, Irukatchi, and Horhotchi priced at $13 USD which are already available. Oh, and did we mention Pochitchi and Young Mametchi too? Love!

Third, there was tons of merchandise, including Tamagotchi Chara Magnets (that were just recently announced in Japan), package keychains, custom key rings to be released in May, 2026 for $6.00 USD.

Fourth, the Tamagotchi Original Y3K series is returning for 2026. These feature not only an exclusive translucent shell, but a clear case too.This will include two shells, the raspberry features P1 programming, and the Citrus features P2 programming. Both are set to be released Fall 2026 priced at $24.99 USD.

Fifth is the show stopper, Bandai Namco US has previewed the 30th anniversary Tamagotchi Original! This shell is semi translucent, featuring the Tamagotchi logo in black paint, as well as black buttons and P1 programming. Apparently this shell will involve a scavenger hunt to find (limited release), so we’ll see what that looks like soon.
