I’m not sure if I’m happy to hear this or not.
After reading your meta (I am an INTJ too, hello). I agree with you to a certain degree. Doyle Holmes remains as my favourite, for a character written in 880's he shows character tropes and aspects of DSM before they even existed. Yet, we have to agree that Doyle was not loyal to his works, and much of the real character is foolishly covered, yet open to interpretation, hence we have strongly contrasting Grenada and BBC, which both show aspects of successful eccentricity but in different light.
Thank you! I always love love talking to canon fans. Believe me it was hard for me to even imply anything negative about Canon Holmes or Grenada Holmes because Holmes is my first and forever love. Like the first character I fully loved and I will always love him.
It’s just frustrating to see how little genuine affection those writers had for Holmes and it honestly peeks through. Like Doyle (as we all know) hated him and it shows (the stories are great despite Doyle in a way).
I was never arguing that BBC is better but that the greatest strength of BBC is that they love Sherlock so so much and their love is threaded through the narrative…how much they love both of them. (this is also the show’s greatest flaw) And the story changes when you are embracing your character and also playing with the too-well-established Holmes tropes.
What do you think is most important to create a good novel? A good answer would consider of mix of everything, but, what is the thing that makes you "hooked", and makes you ignore other incorrections in the novel.

For me to get hooked on a novel, it has to have a good plot. I get bored very easily if nothing happens. Sure, there are exceptions, but character development alone doesn't keep me interested (this is probably why I find it difficult to read most classics and why I love fantasy so much)

this blog is just being set up at the moment, as I've only joined the team at CauseUK yesterday and I dont actually work at a central offices I work from home.
Sooo I'll do my best to answer your questions, and update the blog as we go on:
1--It's rather a large venue and it is for a world record so as many as we get, at this point we aren't looking at restrictions so far.
2--I will enquire about that for you, but if not directly at the venue there ought to be ample space in surrounding areas...more to follow.
3--I can't make any guest announcements until there have been official press releases sorry!

Omg I’m so sorry, I honestly just found this! Not sure if you’re still interested, but I’ll try to kind of answer anyway :)
Drastic changes? I mean, there are the obvious changes plot-wise but apart from that, I would say no. The series has very much evolved and there is no way you’d mistake TEH for an earlier episode, but to me it still feels like the ‘Sherlock’ I fell in love with. :)
How does it feel? A bit like a roller coaster, and you have no idea what will be coming next if that makes any sense. Also, I got the impression that they got a bit cheekier and dare to do some stuff they wouldn’t have done in the first two series. And in a way, for me, the episode is a declaration of love to the fandom.
Is it worth getting excited for? Oh God yes.
Does it reach the expectations? Well, it exceeded mine. Big time. But I’m sure some people will find stuff to be disappointed about, some people always seem to do. ;)
Surprises, cliffhangers, developing arcs? Yes.
The new characters are… well, I love Mary. Like, love, love, love her. :) For the others… judge yourself! :)
