The title of this 1koma is a reference to the Tale of Genji (源氏物語), a classic novel from the Heian period. As you can see, there’s also a direct namedrop of the protagonist, Hikaru Genji.

I swapped the scribbled-down notes and the speech bubble things in the text version because it made more sense like this in English.

洒落込む can mean either “dressing up”, or doing something that you usually wouldn’t do (with a certain nuance that you’re treating yourself or treating someone else to something, from what I’ve gathered). The latter meaning made more sense to me since he’s trying to deflect with his usual Jo-isms, so I worded it like “I’ll join you” as in like, I’ll make an exception and join you, that type of thing.
