i love the smell of petrichor as much as the next witch, but one thing i also really really love about rain and especially late spring/early summer thunderstorms is how verdant everything looks just before and after. as though every plant's color intensity is turned up to 11. just. a+ lighting mechanic i love the earth.
every month i say i'm going to work on being more consistent with my meditation practice
and every month (so far) i have been unsuccessful
anyone have any (short) guided meditations they like? free apps? background music tracks? or even books on meditation prompts? i'm hoping some sort of guidance or inspiration will help it finally stick. theoretically it'd be nice to work into my morning or evening routines (probably evening, most likely) but i still need to at least start
i have begun putting together a catalog of my witchcraft book collection, including subject tags, isbn numbers, edition/printing information (when i can determine those details), and which "half" of the collection the books belong to (whether for actual reference for my practice, historical relevance, or in a handful of cases: both). i'll probably expand my system over time but for now i just want a full list so that i can keep both a mutable digital copy to expand over time, as well as a nice printable version of for my grimoire (that i can reprint periodically as the collection expands--i'm definitely not done yet).
honestly it'll be nice to eventually have an easily sort-able list to reference for organizing the shelves down the line rather than having to work all that out in my head.
so far i've made it through...22 books. which means we have, other than another handful that are scattered around the house, made it to the actual "Witchcraft Bookshelf", rather than just the piles i had around my office that were waiting to be sorted. 😬

gotta say i love seeing other folks using textiles and other fiber arts in their witchcraft 💕 there's just so many possibilities--i love seeing everyone's different approaches
it is bread day (aka i want to make sausage stew for dinner and wanna make garlic bread to go with it + don't wanna go to the store, so i'm making baguettes) and i gotta say, making myself some linen aprons at the top of the year was a great time investment (we had the fabric in stash). so comfy and useful.
very tempted to make some moon water tonight to turn into a simple syrup tomorrow morning to go in my coffees for the next week or two hmmm
