I promise I've been trying my damndest to answer this XD It's not that facts are hard or anything, but I'm trying to come up with something that's not a basic life fact, like my height, age, or what I studied in college (5'7, 24, and I hold a BA in Film for anyone who's interested in the basic stuff too). Let's call this an attempt at facts, yeah?Â
1) I have this thing about collecting bottles and cans. Not like in a "Hoarders" kind of way, because it's not just any random bottle or can, but I tend to hold onto the bottles or cans to limited edition things or beers I've drank from different countries. I actually still have a collectable Green Label Mountain Dew aluminum bottle from 2008, but otherwise I've gotten much better at cleaning out my collection before it starts to look like trash. That being said, I've never thrown away a full sized Jaeger bottle because I view them as accomplishments XD.Â
2) Over the past 10 years I studied Spanish, German, ASL, French, and Arabic I also tried teaching myself Tagalog with a patient tutor, but that's gone end up until I have more time. I'd like to pretend that I'm decently good at any of them, but I'd say I've forgotten anything I knew of Arabic and French, it takes a little bit too dig up everything I learned about ASL, and my Spanish and German are passable (though I'm a tad too self conscious to use them in practice, but I'm working on that). I can still read and write Spanish and German without issue, so I suppose that counts for something, maybe?Â
3) Between the ages of 17-20, I accidentally got famous under an anonymous pen name writing for a specific fandom. That's about as specific as I'll get in the event they somehow manage to find me again XD. I eventually stopped writing altogether, deleted all of my stories, and removed my online fandom presence because I was a) afraid of my anonymity being compromised seriously this applies to all fandoms, if someone says they want to remain anonymous, don't start collecting any iota of information they do offhandedly mention in author's notes so you can find them. It's creepy as fuck and b) I realized I was wasting a lot of my college experience behind a computer. I admit, I do miss it sometimes, but not enough to go back to constantly fielding emails about my fics. Â
4) I would casually estimate that over the past 2 years I've acquired about $800-1000 worth of Captain America merchandise (which does includes a cosplay, to be fair). I still refuse to admit that I have a problem XD.Â
5) If I'd been better at math (which I'm abysmal at), I'd have tried to pursue a degree in theoretical physics (either a BA in Physics and Philosophy or a BA in Physics and Astronomy). Admittedly, I changed my career path a few times while still in high school (forensics, adolescent medicine, theater writing, psychology), film and physics have always been the constants since elementary school.Â
