ushijima - rounding the corner, ushijima came upon you sitting against a wall with your arms wrapped around your legs and your head resting on your knees. you were exhausted. and it's not like you wanted to be, you just couldn't help it. ushijima would be lying if he said he hadn't noticed, and he hated to see this ugly illness rip you apart from people that he knew cared about you. careful not to invade your space, he sat down next to you. "hey, i know that everything hurts right now. and that's okay. i know that you want to push everyone away. but i'm not going to let you, okay? i'm your friend and i'm sticking with you no matter what."

aone - you fumbled with the letter that aone had dropped off to you. your name was written in his familiar handwriting and a small sticker sealed the envelope shut. careful not to rip it, you slowly opened the letter.

'i'm not sure how to start this but, i'm worried about you. i see you pushing through the pain and you're so strong. but nobody can do it alone, alright? so whenever you need someone, i'm all yours.'

"i see you read my letter," you glanced over to aone who was standing there. "i mean every word. i'm not going anywhere."

oikawa - pressing send on another blue bubble to you, oikawa waited to see those three dots pop up on his screen. but nothing came. oikawa had been your best friend for what seemed like forever, and he knew when something wasn't right. this wasn't the first time that he'd seen that damned depression take a swing at you, and that night he knew he needed to be with you, no matter your protests. no matter how depression threatened to push him away, he knew that you still loved him. and with that in mind, oikawa dialed your number. he was used to it ringing a few times before you picked up, but tonight you picked up right before the last ring. "i'm coming over, okay?" oikawa's voice came through your phone. "i'm not letting you go through this on your own.

iwaizumi - iwaizumi saw that you were withdrawing before you even realized it. he cared so much for you and that meant that he noticed every little thing, good and bad. so when you started to pull yourself away from people he knew you cared about, he was worried. he was worried when he saw your walls coming up again. he was worried when you wouldn't let anyone in, not even your friends, who cared so deeply for you. all of this was on his mind when he found you sitting on the grassy patch where you two used to play as children. "y/n.." iwa's gentle voice called you to reality and you looked up into his eyes. "i'm always going to be here for you. unconditionally."

tsukishima - sitting on a park bench together, the black night sky surrounds you and tsukishima. with your head on his shoulder and his arm around you, his warmth cuts through the cool air. "they're wrong," he blurts out, the anger he feels towards anyone who's ever made you feel ashamed bubbling up out of his throat as he sits up straight and turns to look at you. "there's.. there's nothing wrong with you. and you better know that, 'kay? it pisses me off when those close minded thoughts think they get to win. you're stronger than that," he says. "now grab my hand," he reaches out to you and you feel his long fingers intertwine with yours. "feel that?" you nod a yes at him. "i'm right here with you."

yamaguchi - absentmindedly tracing shapes onto your skin, yamaguchi snuggles up next to you in your shared bed. he knows how hard things have been lately and it kills him inside to watch you go through the pain of feeling not accepted. all he wants is for you to feel safe and wanted, and fuck it, he's gonna spend every one of his days making sure you know how loved you are. "baby," he starts, big shiny eyes gazing into yours. "there's nothing wrong with you. there's not a thing i would change about you. i love every single thing about you because it's what makes you /you/. now please don't forget how loved you are, alright?"

ushijima - ushijima pulls you onto his lap and wipes a tear from your cheek. "there there," he hushes you, rubbing your back. "you're safe with me, okay? i've got you. let's take some deep breaths, alright?" he offers. "let's take a big breath, my angel." following his example, you let your lungs expand with a big breath and hold it for a few seconds, ushijima uttering an "i love you," and kissing your nose while you hold it. you feel yourself smile and laugh out the breath you were holding, clinging a little tighter to the boy you loved. "see, it's all gonna be okay," he says gently. "i'm proud of you. i'm here for you no matter what."
