Iβm quickly finding that my most viewed and liked videos on my TikTok page are from my home cooked Filipino dishes. π΅π Itβs heartwarming to know that there is a such a community and love for Pinoy food on social media. π₯° Although I find it hilarious that my most popular #FilipinoTikTok is using a bottle of Jufran Banana Ketchup @jufranofficial on Costcoβs pre-seasoned pork spareribs at 136k views! π Iβm also finding that plenty of Filipinos can be pretty critical on how a specific dish is prepared... but Iβll look at it on the positive side and assume that theyβre just passionate about how THEIR version is the right way (how they grew up eating it: whether itβs how their parents prepared it or how their specific province made the dish). π With that said, Iβm committed to cooking more Filipino dishes that I grew up eating... the way MY parents prepared it... WITH my twist! ππ Sorry for the long story lol! Hereβs a dish called tortang giniling or simply, torta, which is a ground beef omelette that is enjoyed with ketchup and rice! This beef version is somewhat newer than its original, the eggplant torta or tortang talong. β’ β’ β’ β’ β’ #tiktokfood #tortangginiling #torta #filipinofood #filipinoamericanhistorymonth #filipinofoodmovement #pinoyfood #pinoy #homemade #seattle #seattlefood #localeats #foodstagram #yummy #foodporn #feedfeed #buzzfeedfood #dailyfoodfeed #fooddiary #tastemade #foodblogger #eater #lovefood #nomnom #foodgasm #instafood #foodie #instayum #foodgasm https://www.instagram.com/p/CGdI7KPAWqt/?igshid=jddi227fnbn1
