Today is always really special and reflective for me. It's the anniversary of MY FIRST TORI SHOW: Columbus (my hometown) 1999, at Polaris Amphitheater (which to my knowledge doesn't exist anymore). I wasn't in the know enough to go to the meet and greet, but it was still a magical night. I remember Tori being bathed in blue light, her saying Columbus '98 being on of her favorite shows (which I wasn't at ::sobs::) on the Plugged Tour, and rocking out to Blood Roses. I was 17, and Sharon came with me-she was my first concert buddy, and one of my favorites. She STILL always makes sure our musical experiences are everything she knows intuitively what I want them to be. I didn't have a camera, not even a disposable! How many days can you say truly, definitively changed your life forever? This is one of mine. 21 years, 22 shows, countless good times, a few Tori hugs, and some of the best friends of my whole life later, I'm here: 38, different state, more fearless and ready to rock n' roll than ever. Prouder of T than ever this year, and more excited than maybe ever by the tweet yesterday about mastering-what is she creating in these Strange Days? And it all started that day
