@clearsummit and his father were here to document Avery's journey they were so much help along the way. I can't describe the journey this race put us all through. I've never cried at the completion of any of my races. If you could see my face, you'd see it glistening with tears. At this point in my life i can say this has been an adventure of a lifetime, and we can't wait for the next one! #Repost @clearsummit (@get_repost) ・・・ I had the pleasure of following this man around the most grueling trail race I have seen. A bit over 200 miles and around 80,000 feet of vertical all in the Italian alps. There were many ups and downs. Both physically/mentally and literally as he climbed from valley floors (1,000 ft approx) to high mountain passes (over 10,000). Watching him, the other Americans, and the rest of the racers is truly awe inspiring as I struggled with the few miles I put on trail. Did he achieve his ultimate goal?
