I read a translation and explanation of someone (unfortunately I lost the post) who spoke about the Ohm issue and from what I remember I thought the topic was brought up to the school and parents, there were apologies and consequences for Ohm for doing what he did. Of course, the saying boys will be boys is shitty but I think it's difficult to blame someone for doing stupid things almost 10 years ago. Most people will look back on their past and have done something they regret and I think it's unfair to make him out to be the devil just because he is a person in the public eye.
Sorry for the word vomit, I just read a lot of hurtful and hateful words towards Ohm recently and I wonder if I apologise for him too much or if feeling sorry for him is okay too. :(
Totally agree with you. The over emotional involvement should get toned back because once it is discovered that they are actually bad people the fans will either be so troubled or being forgiving when it's not their place to forgive.

Cancel culture is intense but also kinda temporary. the internet gets heated up over something and a few weeks later everything is back to normal. it happens all the time and Iāve seen tons of people who share your opinion that these actors shouldnāt be held accountable for something they did or said 10 years ago and I agree to some extent but it depends on the incident. if someone commented āno homoā on a picture once when they were 13 then thatās no reason to cancel someone in 2023. But in Ohmās case, what he did is problematic enough for me to remove him from my radar lol. And not just what he did but also the way he reacted to it in his apology, completely missing the point and proving that he has no understanding of how what he did was wrong, not to mention not even apologizing to the victims. Regardless of if and how he got punished back in the day.Ā
I guess forgiving is easier than cancelling but in my opinion forgiving culture transmits the message that these people can do whatever they want as long as they post some form of an apology because their fans will forgive them no matter what. Has any (bl) celebrity ever gotten cancelled for real to the point where they lose their platform, followers and get fired from their company? no. and that will never happen even though some people deserve it. Which is probably why Iām a bit more resentful when it comes to these things. Iām not saying Ohm should be fired and banned from all social media but... you get my point.Ā
As I said itās up to each individual how to react to these things - thereās no cancellation guidelines lol so itās totally fine if you feel sorry for him. Itās alsoĀ harder when thereās an emotional attachment so I get it. But like anon 2 said, itās a good idea to tone that down (if possible lol) to avoid possible disappointments.

I'm not that anon , and I don't want this to turn into an argument, but I don't know how celebrities handle hate campaigns because I've never seen men hate her with such intensity. And the way the world is, it's a little scary that some lunatic might try to bring that hate into reality. Hate on the internet isn't so "harmless" anymore. I hope her team doesn't take it lightly and stays safe
I do agree that celebrities are at risk of genuinely unhinged behavior and I wouldn't dismiss the possibility that online harassment can spill into real life. Especially with Z who already had such an experience, so I would assume there is a degree of awareness and monitoring around this type of stuff by professionals and she always has protection at public appearances.
But I also think itās important not to lump everything that happens into 'hate'. A lot of it is also just memes and shitposting and repeating some tired topics because apparently no one on the internet has an original thought anymore. And nowadays it's also easy to manipulate and artificially boost with bots, which can make something look much bigger and more organic than it actually is. Some of it is malicious, absolutely, but some of it is just the internet being the internet (dead or not).
I agree with you on the audition thing. I know TZ are at that stage where they get offers/scripts sent to them without auditioning, but I still generally disagree with the concept. It's become some kind of flex now if an actor becomes famous or acclaimed enough to have offers handed to them and it's kinda sad. I'm glad at least small movies or supporting roles are still largely audition-based.
I blame my background in theatre for thinking everyone should have to audition!
I also think chemistry reads are really important and not just for love interest.
This will always be a hill I will die on and to me itās not the flex that the industry thinks it is ( I get people will say Iām wrong and that is fine)
Just because an actor fits the role in paper, does not mean they will once you get them reading the script.
In my opinion, we would have WAY better movies, TV, and theatre, if we took the time to cast the right actor, then cast the person who has the bigger name.
Louis has spoken about having joint custody too we donāt know if 50/50 for zayn is one month with her or every two weeks or what. Once again he can have help with him if he wants to bring her on the road or just fly her out whenever he can. Iām referring to zayn when I said he wants to tour all over he said he wants to go to Mexico India Brazil etc etc he canāt do that without being away from his child but heās a celebrity itās easier. Every musician does it and a lot of them have kids
Zayn and Gigi trade off weeks I believe. Anyway all this is the most idle speculation because Zayn has talked about touring since MoM came out. Iāll believe heās playing live in the US when the tickets go on sale. Itās not that it would be impossible for him to do it. Itās just unlikely imo.
I donāt think Louis has joint custody of Freddie, but I donāt keep up with him that closely.
