Y’know for what little information we have about Front Roe, there’s a lot that can be inferred about the state that characters are in. Mostly centered around ichiya bc he’s both the leader and the problem (but it’s about all of them)

We learn that the reason Front Roe hide their names and faces, even though their identities are obvious, is because they want to distance themselves from Squid Squad and have people judge them for who they are now.

This definitely shows growing maturity among the band which caused them to make this decision. It’s basically a pointless move, but it’s the thought that counts.

While never really stated directly that Ichiya is fame-seeking or an attention hog, I think the descriptions of him being selfish and having the ‘attitude of a prodigy’ make it so it’s not a very hard assumption to make. We don’t really now what he’s like all these years later, but I think moving on from squid squad and not wanting to be judged for who he used to be is a good sign. Maybe he’s gotten better, or at least wants to.

The song titles, too. There’s only two, but ‘Sea Me Now’ is a very telling title. On top of being a classic SQSQD pun, it really sets in stone what Front Roe is meant to be: telling their fans to not focus on who they used to be, and to instead look at who they are now and what they’re capable of - musically and (hopefully) personally. Same with Sandy Side Up, though less obviously. Looking on the bright side and being hopeful for the future and all of that. Assuming Ichiya still writes the music, this is another sign that he’s gotten better. Let me dream 😭

Of course, it seems like everyone hasn’t completely moved on, with both Murasaki and Ikkan giving non-answers when questioned about a Squid Squad reunion. Ikkan joined a new band long before the others and finally found that thing he was looking for that he just couldn’t get with sqsqd. It’s unclear if he has similar “judge me for who I am now” thoughts. That kind of thing has never been mentioned in regards to Diss-Pair, only that Ikkan used to be on Squid Squad, so it makes me think he cares less about it. That’s purely headcanon, though
