          “ if you wanted to be there... you would be there. it’s simple, ” indie spoke with a shrug, trying to pass her frustration off as nonchalance. she avoided their gaze by staring at the easel in front of her, sweeping vibrant magenta hues across the canvas as she spoke. “ i’m just saying... don’t come in here trying to make some excuse, you didn’t come to my art exibit, you didn’t try to, and now you feel bad. ” she paused, taking a deep breath and rolling her shoulders in an effort to relax before turning to look at them. “ am i wrong ? ”
