Whoop, more colour drabbles! How about Tony and black? x x
“I don’t see why I have to do this,” Tony said.Â
You shrug, “Good PR,” you tell him, adjusting the black bow tie fondly, “After you made that bullshit ass comment about a ladies of SHIELD calendar, twitter fucking exploded.”
Tony sighed, “I still don’t see why that means I have to participate.”
“What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, Tones,” you say. “Now play nice for the camera and show everybody just how sexy a Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist can be.”
The genius in question looked towards the red velvet fainting couch and groaned, “I knew I should have fired you.”
“Nonsense,” you tell him, “That black speedo does good things for your ass. Just relax and enjoy the ride... The Children’s hospital will thank you later.”

A/N: So turns out I am the dumbest bitch here, thought I’d posted another two chapters of this but I hadn’t! So here’s part four!! I hope you enjoy it.
REQUEST: The reader is an angel that is a part of Team Free Will, but its 50 years in the future and she’s the only one alive. She ends up answering a prayer of one of the Avengers (Steve praying to find Buck maybe?”) and ends up becoming an Avenger! Â
Warnings: Angst, a little bit of self loathing but just a smidge.Â
Part One / Part Two / Part Three
Steve was rushed to the medical team in the basement of the tower. He was bleeding heavily and unconscious. I wasn’t allowed to follow.
Natasha and Clint kept me completely separate while S.H.I.E.L.D agents whisked Steve away. I was bleeding but I did not care at all, Clint fussed a bit as it seeped through my shirt and onto the couch but neither of them could get me to move to do anything about it. I was in shock. I sat perfectly still, staring at the blood now drying on my hands.
This scene was far too familiar. Far too similar to before.
“What the fuck happened?” Tony’s voice broke the silence between the three of us. I looked up, instantly recognising the anger and hurt on his face. This was all to familiar.
“Tony, leave her alone,” Natasha sighed.
“Leave her alone?” Tony snapped. “Cap’s dying because of her! She nearly killed me!”
“I did no such thing,” I mumbled.
“Steve will be okay, Y/n saved him. She saved everyone,” Clint insisted.
“By stabbing and shooting him?” Tony barked.Â
“You weren’t here Tony, you didn’t see what happened to Steve and Bucky,”
“Yeah, where were you?” Natasha asked, tilting her head a little.
“She messed with my head and locked me downstairs in my lab!”
“You are fine,” I snapped, getting to my wits end with the man now. I was stressed, upset and tired. I did not need Tony Stark being a pain to add to that list.
“I thought I was going to die! Whatever that was, never again. Never! Or I will out you to those agents because I’m sure they’ll be very interested in what you are,” Tony hissed before turning and walking away. The three of us stayed completely still, I wasn’t sure what to do next. “And get her off my couch! Stop her bleeding everywhere,” Tony called before leaving the room entirely.
--
For the rest of the day, I hide. I was torn between leaving and never coming back and staying and helping. If I left they’d be defenceless if and when the demon came back but I’d be safer and I wouldn’t be able to hurt anyone else. In the end I stayed, at least for the night. I sat in my room with the door locked, ignoring Bucky’s pleas from behind the door. While the fact he was alive was a small reminder that what I did was a small amount good, but I could feel his anger from here. I’d maybe mortally wounded his best friend and that alone was enough bad to cancel everything else out.
The next morning, I sat outside the emergency room with the rest of the team. I couldn’t help but feel guilty- I was the one who stabbed him after all. I’d had enough. I couldn’t do this anymore and in that moment I decided to leave. I’d leave a note for Steve explaining and apologising, then tell Tony I was going and never ever come back. I’d done my job and the demon was gone. I’d well overstayed my visit and I’m sure the Avengers would be glad to see me go.
So, I left Bruce and Nat to watch him and went up to my room to get my stuff.
“Miss Y/n,” FRIDAY’s voice startled me, “Mr Stark requests you in his lab,”
“Um, yeah sure. I’ll be there in a second,”
I zapped myself down to the depths of the tower to Tony Stark’s private lab. I knocked on the open door getting the man’s attention away from the small mechanical thing he was working on.
“You wanted to see me?”
“Ah, yes. Y/n. Come in sit down,” He kicked out a roller chair from under the table. Cautiously, I sat down watching him closely. After everything yesterday I was extremely wary. “How’s Cap?”
“Alive,” I shrugged. That was really all I could say.
“First off, I wanted to apologise for yesterday,” Tony wiped the oil on his hands on a rag as he spoke. “It was uncalled for. I’ve watched the CCTV and saw what happened. You really did the right thing,”
“Sure doesn’t feel like it,” I sighed, looking down at my hands in my lap.
“You did good kid, I promise,” Tony smiled.
“I want to apologise for what I did to you too,” I smiled back, “messing with you like that and using my true voice when I knew it’d just cause you pain. It was unfair and I apologise,”
“Apology accepted. Just don’t do it again, or at least not to me,”
“Sure,”
“Now, what I really wanted you for.  Cap and I have been talking,” Tony said seriously now. My smile faded at the quick change in tone. “We both agree you’re dangerous and like nothing we’ve ever seen before. You’re impulsive, quick tempered and pretty much blind to anything else other than what you see as right,” I tilted my head, not sure where this was going, “However, you saved us. Steve twice in fact. And I want to make you an offer,”
“An offer? What kind of offer?”
“A good one, don’t worry!” Tony laughed at my suspicion, “I want you to join to team. Of course, you’ll have to go through all the training and everything but having someone like you on the team’d be an honour,”
“You… you want me to be an avenger?”
“Yes,” He said simply.
“Well, I- I don’t know what to say,”
“Say you’ll do it?”
“I don’t know… Mr. Stark I’m not a superhero! I’m an angel. A soldier of God,”
“And I’m just a smart guy with lots of money, what does it matter? You saved us all without hesitation. That deserves some kind of merit, right?”
“I was doing my job. Saving people, hunting things,” I shrugged. “I don’t deserve a reward for stabbing a national treasure,”
“Just think about it, yeah?”
I did think about it, for about five seconds as I flew from the Stark’s workshop to my room. I was not a superhero, or even a regular hero in fact. I could never be an avenger. I was leaving. Now.
“Y/n! Y/n wait up,” Bucky’s voice carried down the hall. I stopped, panicking a little. While, I wanted to leave I knew just one look at Bucky and I’d stay. He had that power over me.
“He-hey Buck!” I stammered, quickly shoving the bag under the bed.
“You alright?” Bucky tried to peer around me to see what I was doing.
“Yeah sure!” I lied, following his steps so he couldn’t see.
“What are you doing?”
“Um, nothing, just tidying up. Have you seen Steve today?”
“Yeah, I just got back,” Bucky was one of the only few allowed in to see Steve. Being best friends with the guy definitely gave him priority over the weird angel who stabbed him.
“Do you think that he’s going to be okay?”
“I’m sure he’ll be fine,” Bucky laughed. “This is Steve we’re talking about. What did Tony want to talk about?”
“Oh, um, just wanted to know about how Steve was doing,”
“Y/n you’re a terrible liar, you know,” Bucky laughed, putting his hands on his hips, blocking my exit out the room.
“I’m not lying! He did actually ask about him,”
“And anything else?” He pressed. I rolled my eyes and tried to push past him again, “Come on, Angel! You can’t lie to me,”
“He asked me to be an Avenger,”
“What?”
“He asked me to be an Avenger, apparently they talked about it before, you know…” I repeated nervously.
“What did you say?”
“I… didn’t say anything,”
“Why not? You’ve said it yourself! This is probably the best place to be,”
“God, you sound like Steve,”
“Well, it’s true isn’t it?”
“I don’t want to fight Bucky! What you guys do is amazing, truly, but I can’t do that,”
“Why not?”
“Because!” I exclaimed, “I don’t belong here, I only came here to answer a prayer, I meant to leave straight after I found you,”
“But you stayed,”
“And I’m glad I did! Can you imagine what would have happened if I hadn’t?”
“Steve wouldn’t be dying,” Bucky snapped. Guilt instantly washed over his face but he meant what he said. “No, Y/n I didn’t mean that,”
“No, I’m not meant to be here in the first place. I’ve killed someone, stabbed a freaking national icon in the chest, nearly killed you twice and put the entire city in danger. If I don’t leave now, something else- something worse is going to happen!”
“Y/n, calm down. Like I said, Steve will be fine. You’re not the first person to nearly kill me and you most definitely won’t be the last. That girl was an accident!” Bucky exclaimed.
“But I still put the entire city in danger, that demon followed me here, James! Who knows what else could have happened,”
“Where would you go?”
“I don’t know, Minnesota?” I shrugged.
“You want to go to Minnesota? Really?”
“No, but-“
“Stay. Stay here,” Bucky pleaded, grabbing me by the shoulders, forcing me to look at him. “You’re the first person to actually look at me like I’m a person. Not some assassin or Steve’s friend. Please Y/n, if not for me at least stay for Steve. He needs you now more than ever. We all need you,”
“But-“
“Yes, you’ve done bad things but so has literally everyone on this team. And I know, nothing can replace your family. What you and those Winchesters had was really special. But maybe, if you stayed, we could be your new family, or at least the extended family?”
“So you’d be the mad old Grandpa?” I said with a growing grin.
“The cool Grandpa,” Bucky corrected as a grin crept onto his face.
“I’ll stay. But only until Steve’s better. Then I’ll decide,”
Suddenly, Sam came racing down the corner. “Oh my god guys do you not answer your phones?”
