Wanted to mention some foods I've been enjoying while recovering from a tonsillectomy. Warm soups have been wonderful- none with chunks of veggies or meats, but creamy soups or broths. The Sams Choice Bone broth from Wal-Mart was rich and tasty for a boxed broth- organic as well. The other Sams Choice butternut bisque I have not tried yet. I also got the powdered split pea soup from Walmart- ok, but there are whole pieces of peas that for some reason stayed hard after cooking. The other boxed soups and lamb broth I purchased at Earth Fare- while a little more pricey, they have a much better selection of creamed soups and broths and most are organic.
