THIS LITTLE NUGGET
More aptly described as a goldmine to working and traveling musicians, the Bose Tone-Match is a welcome addition to our gear family. Our goal is to travel as lightly as possible without sacrificing sound quality, and we pride ourselves on being low-maintenance; this little unit takes the cake for all of the above. Although it comes equipped with a multitude of EQ presets for the lazy mixers of the world, the digital manual mode is my kind of cookie dough. The compression options make my pupils dilate, and I won’t even talk about what the reverb and delay settings do to me. With 4 channels, plus phantom power and interface output, I am over the moon, considering how teeny-tiny and simple it is to use. The phantom power allows Jerry to use a clip-on mic for his horn, so he’s not tied down to a stand when we’re playing larger rooms. There’s no doubt that the Tone-Match is our new favourite child and will be going everywhere our music takes us.Â
