Bestie asked me this and it was such a good lyrical interpretation perspective I had to post it… so:
When listening to ✨Bejewled💎 how do you hear/interpret the following lyrics?
“And when I meet the band
They ask, "Do you have a man?"
I can still say, "I don’t remember”
As her response being:
“I don’t. Remember?” — As in: No. I do NOT have a man. Remember?-Remember how we broke up?-It ended.
OR
“I don’t remember” — As in: I cannot remember. A silly/goofy style of brushing it off. Saying something like you can be forgotten easily; if you treat me like trash; when I reclaim the land/this life/my time without you.
