Bronte gently landed on top of the hill. It was quiet. Just the way she liked it. Atop the hill was a singular stone that had been struck by a bolt of lightning.

“Hey mom.” she said.

She placed a bunch of flowers next to the stone.

“Its been a while… I guess I’ll just get you up to date on things... I found dad.”

Bronte paused to feel the air blow past her face.

“He… Isn’t what I expected but hey he’s dad. He’s been good, you know?...  And I’m in a relationship. I know, I know. I should’ve broken up with Guntur ages ago… and you always say watch out with men but… Don’t judge her, please… ….  Ugh what am I saying?” Bronte muttered.

She rested her head on the stone.

“I miss you…”

Suddenly out of nowhere, a bolt of lightning struck the stone. Bronte only just moved out of the way. She gazed upwards, and felt her eyes get wet.
