🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 BUTTERFLY . BUTTERTRY . BUTTERCRY . BUTTERDIE . . By far the hardest stroke in #swimming for me to make progress on is the #butterfly I still can’t swim more than 25m of fly w/o fins. I’ve heard several swim teachers over the almost 2 years I’ve been taking swim lessons say that the breaststroke is the hardest to learn but the butterfly is the hardest to train. My feet/legs are not proper in terms of form and technique, but I can swim several hundred meters of breaststroke now. . . I have so much respect and admiration for flyers. My favorite flyer for the past 3 years is my fellow #GoldenBear @beefytshields He’s the first of the #Calympian swimmers I met and his 200m fly was the first prelim swim I watched at the Fran Crippen Swim Meet of Champions. Win or lose, I always root for #TomShields The 200m fly final last night did not go well & Tom apologized for his performance on Twitter, but what a difference a day makes. Super stoked that I got to meet #olympicgoldmedalist & my fellow #GoldenBear @beefytshields in Irvine. I didn't know he was competing in the event until that morning. It was cool to see him win his prelim heat and watch him smoke the competition in the 200 final. The final was not even close... So glad I didn't make any comments out loud while I was recording the race or I would've embarrassed myself even more. I have videos of both swims that I may or may not post because I'm the crazy fangirl screaming GO TOM in the background lol. He was super nice. He noticed my shirt and asked if I had seen Nathan yet.
