I’ve been treated like this for seven straight years to the point where I have no inhibitions about standing up for myself anymore.
Yes, I abused people I cared about. I also took responsibility, rehabilitated myself, apologized to every single person I had ever hurt in any way, was punished for my mistakes and worked harder than I ever had in my life to earn my redemption. Coincidentally, very much like the characters in my art; my show, that you have created an entire RP account in tribute to, that you cannot, no matter how much you revile me, you cannot erase the fact that I created.
You are objectively incorrect; 15 years after the creation of the show and 7 years after my controversy, to this day, I get TOME fans continuing to support me, not only because they love the show, but because they are proud of the work I did to become a better person. You and whoever in your circle CELEBRATE treating me like I’m less than human as if you’re doing the world of surface, you are no better than me, the very person you’re persecuting. My mistakes are not a definition of who I am.
As much as your needlessly mean-spirited post has upset me, I still implore you to read my statement here that actually sheds light on the full story, because yes, as much as people don’t like widen their perspectives about things like this, there is more to the story than just “Chris Niosi is an abuser and he should die and stop existing”. I hope maybe you’ll take a look and maybe open your mind to feeling differently. I would love for you to still be able to enjoy TOME without also feeling a level of satisfaction over hating the person who made it.
