The look of surprise was still plastered on Silas’ face. He couldn’t believe he’d just kissed her. ❝ Well, that was the plan… ❞ he shrugged a shoulder before shaking his head slowly, ❝ Don’t worry, Rae. I’m not expecting anything else. We can still cuddle if that’s what you want — or if you never want to see me again, that’s okay too. ❞ He felt embarrassed because he wasn’t sure if she felt the same or if he had just crossed a huge boundary.

Schooling her face into a neutral expression, Raven sat up and waited for him to finish talking. As horrible as it was, it was a little entertaining to see his embarrassment.
