Remember that 90s dance formation Rednex, known for such cheesy gems as Cotton Eyed Joe and Old Pop In An Oak? US music producer, songwriter and musician Rench probably figured he could do that better, and he did: Rench mashes up bluegrass with pronounced hip hop and R&B beats.
Under the name Gangstagrass Rench's teams up with indie hip hop or R&B artists: the most notable of such collaborations is Gangstagrass - Give It Up (feat. T.O.N.E-Z ) * which featured on US ads for the second season of Justified.
