Welcome to the 2026 Tomarrymort Big Bang!
This is an annual collaboration for fans of the Harry Potter/Tom Riddle | Voldemort pairing that pairs writers and artists to create an explosive ‘bang’ of new fanworks.

📋 Rules
Pairing – All works must feature Harry Potter/Tom Riddle | Voldemort as the main pairing. All variants of the characters and pair dynamics are welcome.
Theme – Anything goes!
Rating – All ratings allowed i.e. G-rated fics can still be romantic (although Tomarrymort might make this a tougher ask 😅)
Length – Written submissions should be at least 10k words in length. There is no upper limit.
Format – One-shot and multi-chapter works both accepted.
New work – Submissions must not have been published on any archives (AO3, FFN, Wattpad, etc.) Fanworks you've been working on privately are allowed (it is also fine if you’ve previously shared snippets/sketches on Discord/Tumblr/Twitter and so on).
WIPs – Incomplete works will be accepted, but a finished pair is the goal. Please be courteous to your artist or writer friends 💖
Content – Dark content and dead dove permitted; please tag appropriately. (Per Discord's guidelines, certain content categories cannot be linked or discussed on the platform. Please review Tomarrymort Events server rules carefully.)
No Gen AI – Your work is your own.
Betas – Encouraged, not required. If you need one, using “@beta ping” in the #writing-chat channel of the Tomarrymort Events Discord can be a great way to make a new friend.
Secrecy – Participants are welcome to discuss their ideas, post snippets, and tease their WIPs after the artist matches are complete. We love to see it!

Fill out the sign-up form
Writers begin creating
Writers turn in summaries of their fics
Artists are matched with fics based on preferences
Artists choose what they’d like to bring to life from the story!
Finish your creations
Post fics and art, and add works to the 2026 AO3 Collection (works due Dec 31, 2026 and collection revealed, Jan 31, 2027 collection closed).
Tag us in any promo posts so we can share!
We encourage buddies to post to AO3 as one work, so artwork is embedded within or at the end of chapters for a combined reader experience.
If your artist has an AO3, they can also be added as a co-creator to the work!

Aug 15: event announcement and writer / artist / pinch-hitter sign-ups open
Sep 15: writer sign-ups close
Sep 30: artist sign-ups close; fic summaries due for writers
Oct 15: artists submit match preferences; writer check-in – fics should be 30% complete (>=3k words)
Oct 30: writer - artist matches announced
Nov 15: mod check-in to ensure teams are in-touch / on-track
Dec 31: works due and collection revealed; collection will remain open until Jan 31
Jan 1 – Jan 7: Big Bang Week! Celebrating TBB fics and art every day this week ✨
Jan 31: AO3 collection closes
