One thing I would love for movie 4 to do is if we touch a bit on the relationship between Tom and Maddie and use it as a way to draw parallels between Sonic and Amy's relationship.

Tom and Maddie are such a cute couple, they support and love each other so much, and they have a really cool story! The first movie even establishes them as being very healthy, with Tom actively making sacrifices for Maddie's education – which may have included a long-distance relationship because Green Hills doesn't seem to have a nearby college, and it was made clear that Maddie has a doctorate, so she spent years dedicated to her education – and with Maddie basically believing in and loving her husband unconditionally. The ambulance scene in the third movie even shows how Maddie puts Tom above everything and wants to be with him until the end.
But seriously, they already have strong parallels with Sonamy! I dare say they are a more adult and mature Sonamy. The movies make it clear that Tom and Sonic have similar personalities, but I wouldn't be surprised if Maddie and Amy did too. Seriously, even Tom and Maddie's color scheme is the same as Sonamy's: Pink and Blue!

No joke, they've been planting the seeds of these parallels since the second movie, nobody can convince me otherwise! So yes, I'll be crying over the parallels between these two! If they use time travel to show young Tommadie and create even more parallels, I'll never shut up about it.
