"Kaz? What are you doing here?" //Tom Muse
“I was here first,” answered Kaz skeptically, his words sounding more like a question than a statement. “I should be asking you that.”

You can cast a sound-proofing charm on the space around you, such as a room. But I suppose it would change the acoustics. I barely know anything about playing instruments.
I think it would work for a quieter piece, maybe? I wish I had the book here that my mom bought me for Christmas last year, it has a whole chapter on the acoustics of cellos. I didn't understand parts, but I think the gist was the lower and louder you're playing, the more important the air around the cello is in the resonance? So basically...weird tone stuff.

avoiding both types of cracked necks would be favorable
Oh well yeah! But I mean I'm probably less likely to crack my neck if I'm levitating the cello?
shastrakarma replied to your post:
Perhaps consider a Sound-Proofing Charm?
Would that throw off the acoustics, though? Since it'd change the space I'd be making sound in? And also, you have to cast those on something don't you? It wouldn't do me much good to soundproof my cello, I wouldn't be able to hear if I was hitting a wrong note.

Oh, oh! Y’know like, for example, when you’re on a roller coaster and it’s at its’ peak and it’s about to fall— like that. Like, that time I did the sort of bungee jump thing on running man. I hope you understand. ;3;
