Hey folks, let us share some news. Last week we attended game developers conference DevGAMM in Hamburg. We wanted to show our new prototype, get some feedback, meet old friends and make new ones. So, we reached all these goals and even more. Conference was very well organized with inspiring talks, creative people, interesting games, nice coffee breaks and cool afterparty. There were not so many people this time, but we've got more time to discuss some interesting topics, share our knowledge, learn something new and show our game.

Also, one of the brightest moment was game awards ceremony. We won our first prize in the nominee "Excellence in Visual Art". We didn't even expect this and it's very pleasant feeling :)

We’ve been thinking about huge Sun/Moon on the background but we are not sure that it will work out for this particular level.

Hello everyone! Let me tell you about our current state of the game development. Right now we are focused on making new playable demo for upcoming conference in Hamburg DevGAMM. Of course, we would like to develop as much as possible but our main focus is on making basic game mechanics, implementing game assets and make it look good into the engine.

We already had some meshes but we needed to optimise them for importing to Unreal Engine 4. We won’t use realistic textures, because we would like to stylize our game and make it look different.

We were playing around with light settings and day-night circle. It is work in progress but I like how it turned out :)

Shipwreck

I don't want to spend more then 2-3 hours for each concept. I just want to find the right mood for this piece, play around with different light settings, shaders and materials. It is way easier to create the whole level from this concept instead of doing it from scratch.

Six months ago I started to dig into 3D graphics. I had a little work experience with Maya and Blender but then I discovered for myself Modo. This is the best possible program for my purposes. It has very friendly user interface, all needed tools for modelling, texturing and animation. Everything works fine and it doesn’t crush that often.
