I don't understand when people- especially other people in the community say an lgbt+ story is "too gay."

Cishet's can be as straight and cisnormative as they want and they don't tell each other "Hmm, maybe that is a little to straight."

So how can something be too gay? As long as folks have fleshed out characters, I don't care if they're going to gay bars every chapter or shooting rainbows.
