I was pleased to have assisted in planting 42 trees over 300m at the Dibamba Power plant in Yassa in the Littoral Region, Cameroon, in celebration of the World Environment Day 2022. The day is celebrated at a time when our planet is facing multiple crises from climate change to biodiversity loss. As we celebrated the day under the theme "Only One Earth", we were reminded of the need to safeguard the planet, our only home. To us at the #DibambaPowerPlant, planting trees is just one of the many ways through which we would be contributing to reducing the concentration of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere, which is one of the major causes of #globalwarming. As we look forward to more advanced techniques for carbon-capturing and storage, we strongly believe in the saying that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step".
