Tofo Diaries - 30.10.2018: Sherwood Forest haunted by Red Fang Triggerfish
Tofo Diaries - 4.11.18: That moment when you dive down, the pressure building, the salt water stroking your cold skin, whales singing in the background, in that moment, when you’re floating in the blue, carried, back and forth by the swell, in that moment I feel free and liberated of every worry or weight I carry around in my terrestrial life. A moment of pure bliss. A moment for letting go.

Tofo Diaries - 29.11.2018: This bottle cap was found while on a little beach clean up mission at 7 AM on a stormy morning. Thanks to the identification of the brand - AQUA - an Indonesian based bottled water brand by Danone, I started questioning, would it be possible that this bottle cap, still fairly intact managed to travel and navigate the Indian Ocean from Indonesia all the way to the Mozambican shore?
Well, after checking ocean current maps for the Indian ocean, this is certainly plausible as well as the state of the bottle cap being fairly intact.
Now the question arises, whether is has really traveled this far or if other forms of transport got the bottle cap closer to the Mozambican latitudes. Maybe a surfer that is doing a round trip lost is somewhere on the African continent, maybe a fishing vessel passing by with Indonesian flag.
Who knows, speculations and theories can be made, world traveling bottle cap adventures and stories can be invented. However, regardless of what speculations are made above, I find it truly fascinating, upsetting in a way and mind blowing that an Indonesian water bottle cap made all it’s way to a beach in Mozambique!
