Yesterday I was tryna post this as a "this day in history" to salute a major figure in West Coast Hiphop but my phone was trippin and I couldn't let that stop me from honoring the memory of the man who directly and indirectly had a hand in just about every LA Hiphop star's career. Before NWA & the Posse was spitting gangsta rap and putting Compton on the map there was the Hub City's own Mix Master Spade and the Compton Posse spittin conscious gangsta rhymes. March 14, 2005 was a sad day when the world learned he had passed away due to complications from a motorcycle accident. However, these days we celebrate his contributions to Hiphop.
