fansigns still feel a bit unnatural for sori, she’s grown to like it though. she enjoys talking with the fans, even though she feels like she’s a bit awkward, it’s nice to hear whatever the fans have to say, sori isn’t naturally good at interacting with people, and especially not strangers, so she always fears the worst. and then there’s the other part of fansigns, where it’s just the idols on the stage, playing with the gifts the fans have given them. 

sori sneaks her way over to eunhye, she always feels a bit more calm when she’s with one of her members, finding two hats on the way, she picks those two up as well. she puts bunny ears on herself, and goes up to eunhye from behind, placing some sort of… fish hat(?) on the other. “eeh! so cute unnie!” she says, hugging one of the other’s arms and holding her tight. she’s not sure whether eunhye can tell she’s shy right now, but it’s still comforting just standing next to the other.

sori was surprisingly quite enjoying filming for this variety show. sori had never been particularly good at variety, still wasn’t, which meant often when she joined variety shows she felt out of place, awkward and shy. it was harder when she joined variety shows by herself, but it was very different when her members were along her during variety shows. sori’s not sure how funny and entertaining she’ll be for the viewers, but she’s at least having fun at the moment along her members.

the maknaes have been paired for this episode, minji and sori together at a botanical garden, sori can’t help but think about her brother, she always does when she sees flowers. “any flowers you want us to look for?” sori looks down at her purple shirt before continuing “something purple would probably work for me, don’t you think?” she tilts her head slightly to the side. “there’s so many flowers here, i almost feel overwhelmed”.

generally sori doesn’t want people to know who her dad is, a strong fear of getting called ‘nepo-baby’. sori always wanted to debut because she was skilled enough to debut, not because of who her dad is. sometimes sori feels a bit like a ‘nepo-sibling’ since her brother debuted before her and is much more famous than her, but so far she hasn’t heard about anyone saying she only debuted because her brother did, and she’d like to keep it that way.

but a few people know who her dad is, and sori doesn’t mind a few friends knowing, she knows they won’t go around and start talking about who her dad is. though, now that she’s debuted without the help of her dad, can people still suddenly call her a ‘nepo-baby?’.

she finds herself with minjun, who just like her has a celebrity parent and a celebrity siblings. “do you still speak with jimin?” sori questions “my dad worked along with him the other day” sori takes a sip of her banana milk.

sori’s never been much of a drinker, and it’s not because she doesn’t want to drink nor she doesn’t like the taste of alcohol, she’s simply always just felt too busy. she was at school, then practice and then went home to study, sori worked hard on her plan a: becoming an idol, but she prioritized having a plan b as well, in case plan a didn’t work out. so, while friends went out to drink, or just have fun in any way really, sori was either practicing or studying. 

and sori’s not sure why, but idol life changed it for sori, suddenly, sori wished she had more friends, that she spent more time with friends. it was tough finding time for people outside of school and her fellow members, but sori had recently finished school, and had a bit more time on her hands. and that’s when she realized everything she had missed out on, particularly something that bothered her that she didn’t think would ever bother her: her dating and romantic life.

she was spending time with haeun today, a dear friend which sori had been friends with since trainee days, who she probably also had been bad at giving attention to, considering she was a trainee and student when the two trained together. the two were going out for chicken and beer, though honestly, sori had probably consumed more beer than chicken, it was just, fun, for well sori at least, to actually drink. “have you ever dated before?” the question comes suddenly, but sori feels like everyone around her has dated except for her.

sori had never been good at making friends, she had a tendency to always see the worst in people. besides her brother, she didn’t really talk with people outside of work. her brother happily talked with neighbours while sori tried her best to avoid eye contact with anyone. sori prefers being inside of her apartment, continuing work even when work is done, it’s the only thing she finds interesting. and ending up at the rooftop wasn’t her idea, but one of the few friends she had forced her up here.

sori is standing awkwardly and silently, simply observing what’s going on, and thinking about when it’s a appropriate to sneak away. she looks down at her drink of soda when said friend who forced her up here suddenly shows up in front of her. ‘i have someone you should meet, i think you’ll get along well’, those are her only words before grabbing sori’s hand and dragging her away.

and how lucky. it’s yuxi she’s been dragged over to. she coldly stares at the other, their mutual friend vanishing for some reason. sori is familiar with yuxi, and she has her assumptions about the other, even though they haven’t talked much, sori isn’t a fan of the other. “how is it going with work?”.

sori has been so busy lately, handling school and being an idol. luckily she’s in her last year of school, so soon she can put all of her focus into practice. but she’s stayed a little later than usual at practice lately, which means she’s studied a little later lately, which means she hasn’t gotten as much sleep lately. she can feel it, she needs her sleep, she can’t continue on like this.

she sits on a bench with sehun, the two bumping into each other on sori’s break and falling into a conversation, this time no ghost hunting though. sori listens as the other speaks, until she doesn’t, she doesn’t even realize it, she’s snoring.

there’s a yawn escaping the blonde’s lips. she’s been extra tired lately, juggling both practice and school. when it was announced she would debut she considered dropping out of school, but she only had one more year of school, it didn’t exactly make sense to sori to drop out. but she honestly couldn’t wait to be done with school, all her time was used on practice and studying.

once again, another yawn escapes her lips, and then she spots someone familiar, she knows this person well enough to know who they are, even though she can only see their back. she knows they’ll hug her once they see her, so she decides to just get it over with, walking over to her friend and wrapping her arms around the other, giving them a back hug. and then she realizes “sh--” she steps back “yura, ah! i’m so sorry, i thought you were someone else” a slight rose colour shows up on her cheeks, how embarrassing.

it’s not very often sori invites people over to her dorm, her brother has forced himself in a few times, and friends from school has often asked, still, sori doesn’t really invite other people over. they’re already six people in the dorm, sori feels like it can easily feel overcrowded, especially if more than one person has a friend over. but she’d found out that for a few hours today she’d actually be alone at the dorm, so she figured she should invite someone over. she’d thought about her brother, or the friends from school, but at last she’d ended on a friend from legacy.

the two are cooking together, “happy you had time to come over, what are the trainees up to at the moment?” ever since sori wasn’t a trainee anymore, she didn’t really know what the trainees were up to. as sofia turns around, sori tastes their dish, it needs a bit of salt. but the lid accidentally falls off and far too much salt is dropped into the dish.

“uh, sofia, i think you put too much salt in the dish” sure, let’s just blame sofia.
