It had been a few long months since Sylixis had found his way to Earth and met Toby. While their meeting had started with a bang, it had ended up fairly well. The Guardian had taken a bit of pity on the vandal, so far from home and full of curiousity. Together they'd found a place for Sylixis to stay -- an old cave of old Russia, far enough from the Devil's Lair that he was safe. It wasn't much, yet, but he'd gathered a few belongings between scavenging and what Toby had brought him.
Needless to say, it was nice. Though, rather lonely at times. As much as Sylixis wanted Toby to stay forever, he had important lightbearing things to do, often leaving Sylixis alone. His slight obsession made him think of the warlock a lot when he was away, but after a while it started to feel like more than just an interest in his light.
Toby was kind. Kinder than any other Guardians, who had shot at Sylixis on sight. Brave, and... strong! So strong. The eliksni began to realize that his feelings were turning in a new, different direction. Lighthearted flutters of his heart, like he was a little dreg with a crush again. He felt silly, but, at the same time...
He wanted Toby to know. Even though part of him thought there was no way the Guardian would look at him the same. Sitting alone, thinking. It was eating him up inside. If he was going to be rejected, he might as well get it over with.Â
Toby was supposed to come soon, and Sylixis found himself crafting the warlock a small present. It was custom for eliksni, though he wasnât sure of humans. Toby had given him so much, and he hoped that the Guardian would appreciate the gift even if he didnât return the feelings. After it was done, he waited, until the day came that Toby was supposed to come with supplies and ether.
And, almost like a very large puppy, Sylixis sat cross-legged outside of his cave, waiting.Â
