@mxrcayong taeyong!! gracie's so comforting and whenever i talk with her i feel so... enlightened? inspired? idk whenever i read her texts or see her on the dash my heart just swells. she's incredibly caring and kind and she's so talented! gracie makes me feel very safe and happy and cared for and i love her sm!!! taeyong was the first that comes to mind for me when i think of her.

@seoulbinz doyoung! i was going to say renjun but then i took another look at brennan's blog and changed my mind. she's incredibly eloquent and discusses topics with such tact and with such accessible wording. AND SHE'S INCREDIBLY TALENTED??? she seems a little reserved sometimes but she's honestly so sweet and funny. responsible and super cool lol

23. What’s the story idea you’ve had in your head for the longest?

fun fact: i wrote an nct fic before i got into nct. i literally had no idea who these 21 (at the time) boys were. i couldn’t be bothered by any of them frankly. i only wrote a fic because my friend who was an nctzen jokingly said, what if you wrote a fanfic for mark. what’s even funnier is the fact that i used to think fanfics were weird back then. i thought they were just kinda strange and never on earth did i think i’d get into it. but as i wrote the fic and did more and more research on mark lee and nct as a whole, i slowly got sucked in lmaoooo. so here i am. HAHA BUT !! basically the idea for the fic was a semi-enemies to lovers scenarios set in a cafe!au where mark was still an idol who visited this local cafe in secret. the mc (she was an oc) spilled her drink on her and became essentially indebted to him. so, mark ropes mc into helping him get with her bff. it got very convoluted from them with a whole cast and several diff plotlines addressing familiar pressure for success, the stigma against being an idol, student pressure, overcoming your parents’ shadow, standing up for your beliefs, the issue with stalking and obsession, capitalism and the importance of money, popularity and favouritism in school, and so much more omg. i never finished it because i pantsed it and everything became too jumbled but i took the skeleton of the concept and its now being integrated into my aubade collab piece!! (which also tackles pressure, and competition in the realm of students/among peers so oops there’s a theme) but yeah!! i started writing that first fanfic in june 2019 on wattpad. i’ve since taken it down and it’s so ew but it’s fun to look back on.

definitely a soulmate!au !! i never used to like how cheesy it was, but what can i say? it’s grown on me (probably because here’s so much potential for angst and i love my angst) idk just the idea of knowing who your true love is sounds so appealing to me (probably because i struggle with that lmaoo)

bro... i’ve totally forgotten what i’ve written 😭 but from the top of my head... enemies to lovers?? i feel like every time i’ve written them in the past, i butchered it since it developed at a weird pace. childhood friends to lovers is my go-to because that trope makes me weak in the knees, but i know i write it way too often jahjfh

which draft are you most excited to post? 

i would say candy kids but.... ngl the excitement is waning HDHSH i haven’t been working on it actively for a while, only popping in and writing like 200 words. but!!! i just came up with an idea for a new wip for my aniblog which i’m already excited to write!!! it’s a soulmate au aha, hence the first answer. but i really want to write that damn spidermark!au and there’s this angsty guardian angel au i’m excited to write about too grr. i mean technically, i only have one draft right now (since if i have more than one i’ll never finish them) but we won’t speak of that

is there any new genre you want to explore?

definitely fantasy!!! and ooh horror!!!! or supernatural shit. idk i used to be opposed to the idea when i first started the blog, but something about the writing in those genres... and the build-up in horror is so good too

The crippling trepidation skittered to a halt. You wanted to scream, to yell, to cry out in joy, but your throat felt dry, only coated in an aftertaste of tangy lemon and tasteless ice. You went limp, eyelids sowing shut while the summer wind flirted with your baby hairs and the sun kissed your skin. Again, you were forgetting. Renjun said something, this time his voice too slight to be heard.

“What?” you shouted.

“Nothing.”

Your eyes shifted to Renjun’s hair again, and with one hand still curled around him, you glided your fingers through the locks. They were soft and smooth, like running your hands through water. It frolicked with the gust, black strokes of an artist’s brush on a canvas of pale blue, tendrils swirling with the clouds.

“You’re going to make me throw up my lunch!”

“What?” you repeated. You still had your hand in his Cola stained hair.

“If you squeeze me any tighter, I’m going to throw up my lunch!”

this is a pretty long excerpt and it’s not perfect and i’ll definitely go back and change some stuff, but i just sorta like it? it feels very stream of conscious-y and though i usually hate my writing style when i do that.. this just seemed nice? there’s not much physical imagery going on, but it’s supposed to be an internal thing anyway so.. again, it’s not perfect hbsjh

have you decided on any creative goals for 2021?

unlike with previous years, going into 2021 felt no different than any other day, so i didn’t set any resolutions or goals at all aha but i guess thinking about it, i want to write more full-length fics, improve my overwriting habit, play around with verbs and write in more genres with more fleshed out ideas instead of just drabbles
