I was reading an analysis post by @/stellocchia about his conversation with ranboo, and why he feels as though they’re kindred. Sure, it’s the neuroticism. It’s the strong relationships with the people they love (it’s both of them having a really strong relationship with c!Tommy). But I think there’s definitely something else to it.

Something that’s interesting about c!wilbur post-revival is how he sees himself as on equal ground to c!dream, and how he believes that, having committed the same crimes* , they should in turn get the same punishments. “C!dream is in there and I’m not”. A key component of this idea is that he’s, of course, wrong. He thinks he’s on the same level as c!dream because 1) he overestimates how bad of a person he is, and 2) he has no fucking clue about the shit that c!dream has pulled.

And then we get to c!ranboo.

As much as they are distorted, c!wilbur retains ghostbur’s memories. He knows about c!Tommy and c!ranboo griefing c!george’s house, and understands that c!tommy’s exile happened as a consequence to that (again. He’s wrong. let me finish). but it wasn’t just c!Tommy who committed the crime, was it? And why did c!ranboo get off scot free? Why can he still call himself someone who avoids conflict, even if he has been implicated in most of the conflict since he showed up? Why hasn’t anyone realised that he’s the same as c!Tommy, and therefore deserves the same treatment?
