-what would it likely be over?
-how would they apologize (if they did)
-why would they react that way
tbh these guys argue a lot, some of the bigger arguments have been:
Mikey is pissed at Leo for making him take on all the responsibility even though theyre supposed to be co-leaders, Leo is pissed because hes grieving their father who is technically still alive but is now a normal rat and might never be himself again, and because of the grief he doesn't stop to think that Mikey deserves to grieve too and the toll thats taking on him
Donnie keeps trying to experiment on Mikeys and raphs pet shrimp and fish
Huge argument over whether donnie should be allowed to experiment on de-mutated splinter to try to make him mutated again, the moral implications of that, and the fact that with splinter being a normal rat now he doesnt have much time to live bc he lived so long as a humanoid already
Huge argument after donnie goes ahead and experiments on him anyway, and how that leads to the rat king arc and everything gets really fucked up
Theres still big stuff sometimes between the others, but those are the biggest, nobody ever really apologizes for the ones listed here because everyone has their own perspective and thinks theyre correct, but Mikey and raph arguments are usually resolved with an apology, same with Mikey and donnie, and same with Leo and raph.
They all react the ways they do because most of the time theyre so focused on whatever has just happened to them that theyre not considering things from the other persons' perspective. with the stuff with donnie wanting to experiment on splinter, Leo especially is against it because even if hes not the same anymore splinter is still their dad, he doesnt want anything else to happen to him and knows that Donnies experiments can be dubious at best. He's too attached to splinter to let anything happen. Donnie on the other hand knows that splinter doesnt have much time left, and if he dies it'll fuck up Leo even more than the mutation, he thinks he cant make things worse and so doesnt see why they wont even let him try. in this context Mikey and raph can see both sides of the argument, and Leo is the one that absolutely will not budge, this is why donnie has to go behind his back to do it. Even when the experiment does go wrong, it does eventually lead to them getting their dad back after a few months, but it also leads to the shredder arc in the meantime, and so Leo kind of blames donnie for that and all that hes been through during it, and donnie kind of blames himself, but also blames Leo, and its a really just complicated emotional situation
