aaaand in the final scene where it zooms out on the rock with all the names on and rachel’s name is on it? god bless rachel. she suffered the same fate as chuck and she was the thomas of group b and no one ever talks about it. lord think about how much aris, harriet and sonya must miss her. think about what a FANTASTIC parallel she would’ve been to thomas if she lived. think about more movies or books from her perspective of the whole thing. lord i love rachel no matter how little she got

Group B: Rachel Subject B2 A member of Group B. She is likely named after Rachel in the Bible, as it is suggested that the girls in Group B are named after religious figures. However, like with the Gladers, after Group B escaped from the Maze, Beth, who seems to be Gally's equivalent, stabbed Rachel while she was under WICKED's control. No one jumped in the way like Chuck did for Thomas, leading Thomas to believe that he should have been killed. These fears are unfounded, of course, for it is later revealed that Chuck had been under WICKED's control when the knife was thrown and he jumped in the way.
Group B: Beth Subject B9 Beth was a member of Group B. Little is known about her other than the fact that Aris said she killed Rachel with a knife while under WICKED's control in the final chamber of their escape from the Maze, suggesting her as the Group B equivalent of Gally among the Gladers. Likewise, Gally had tried to kill Thomas in Group A, but under WICKED's control, Chuck had jumped in the way. She is most likely named after Queen Elizabeth I or Elizabeth Cady Stanton. It's also suggested that she went through the Changing, like Gally. Her fate is currently unknown.

oh yes, hi hello. I hope they’re worthy of some of the amazing tmr head canons I’ve seen around wow (Especially all your Aris ones wow)
-I’ve always imagined Rachel as younger than Thomas and Aris. Like, Teresa is 17, Aris and Thomas are 16, and Rachel is 15. But she’s very mature for her age and obviously very bright. (Although sometimes I imagine Aris is 17 or 18)
-Rachel was the last of the four to be brought to WICKED and she wasn’t initially anything special. She was very bright, but they didn’t intend on her being much more than just another subject. But when she was brought in, she befriended Aris and Thomas, mostly Aris, and they brought out the best in her.
-My idea of her relationship with Teresa varies. I think at first she was very intimidated by Teresa and it caused her to be very distant. But I think as they grew older, in their teens, they became close when they kind of realized that they were all they had. No more families, just each other.
-When Rachel first came into WICKED (She was only around 5 or 6), she was pretty scarred from her outside life and was very reserved and didn’t really interact with others. Until her and Aris kind of found each other and became very close.They just kind of got eachother and they were best friends ever since.
-Rachel always got along very well with others and always went out of her way to make the younger subjects feel better about being at WICKED. She sugarcoated things for their sakes but deep down knew the reality of the situation.
(I mostly have Pre-Maze Trials head canons for my little angel but yo)
- When Rachel came up into the Maze things were similar to the way Thomas reacted in some ways. Her head was spinning and she was frustrated at her lack of memory. She felt empty and although she was just as persistent as Thomas but I don’t think she became a Runner as quickly as Thomas did. She’s curious, but more reasonable than he is.
-Her curiosity really set into motion when Aris came up. (I haven’t read the book in a while so I can’t remember timelines too well) but she felt a strong connection with Aris immediately and once again, she felt a lot safer with him- Even though she is no damsel and doesn’t need saving. She’s tough and willing to fight to save the others. It’s more of like emotional-comfort, cause that’s where she semi-struggles.

I just rambled a lot and the sad thing is that I have more. I have a lil head canon in which WICKED saved her the way they saved Gally post-TMR aka she’s alive and in WICKED HQ during tst and tdc. (Dont get me started on Gally and Rachel ok)
