Mikey, Donnie, Leo, and Raph in that order

Sure, there’s a bunch of wacky adventures. Aliens, robots, violent rebellions vs corrupt governments, random mutants and a threat of the week. But underneath all that is their path to discovering what their purpose is.

They’ve grown up being told what their purpose is.

To be weapons.

To be children.

To be heroes.

But they have to figure it out for themselves. It’s called Finding Eden, because that’s an allegory for paradise, and you can only achieve your own paradise once you understand what you’re meant to do and who you’re meant to be.

Raph: You’ve always been the favorite. The perfect little soldier. Following orders without hesitation and completing tasks without fail. A perfect personality, zero flaws.

Leo, the one who underwent the MOST punishments because he had the biggest personality flaw of them all and underwent reprogramming every. Single. Day. Until he became a silent robot with no opinions and no joy:

Raph: Even now, Master Splinter clearly favors you! He gives you the most attention!!

Mikey is really into parkour and gymnastics. He’s always finding cool tricks to do. He’s also a big sports fan, he’s into baseball, basketball, football, soccer, hockey, you name it he knows it and has a favorite team.

On top of the sports, he’s an artist. He prefers graffiti, but he’s a really good painter and not half bad at sculpting.

Raph likes photography and film. He’s written a few screenplays and they’re actually pretty good. He discreetly films the family, slice of life moments, and no one knows he does it. He doesn’t post it on social media at all, since that’d be a huge giveaway for the EPF, but he keeps them for himself when he has a bad day. (Bad future timelines angst).

You would think he’s into wrestling and the likes, but he actually isn’t. He finds it aggravating and just a bunch of macho guys showing off.

Donnie, obviously, has his tech. He’s slowly getting more into it, since he wasn’t allowed to explore it in the EPF. He likes crafting and building things. He likes science and math and innovation.

Past that, he’s actually rather interested in hockey and ice skating. And though he’ll never say it out loud, he has a soft spot for skateboarding.

Leo is a musician. He specializes in stringed instruments, like guitars and ukuleles. He’s pretty good on the piano. He’s open to learning the basics on any instrument. And, when he’s comfortable, he’s a really good singer. He writes his own songs in his free time, though he’s never shared them.

He also loves dancing. He used to dance all the time as a child, before the Punishments began. Before he was forced into a shell. Before the mask was constructed.

April is a journalist. She also likes photography, though not as much as Raph. Raph likes taking pictures to capture the moment, April does it to capture the action. She likes to reveal the truth and share it with the world. In typical April O’Neil fashion.

Casey is a hockey fan. We all know this. He’s a jack of all trades, he’s been doing odd jobs for years and years, but the hockey and ice skating is where his heart is. It’s some of the few good memories he has of his family, before everything fell apart.

Mikey, texting Donnie: Donnie! Help I’m being kidnapped!

Donnie: Where are you?

Mikey: I’m with some stranger person. In a car. Help.

Donnie: I’ll call Casey.

Casey, answering the call: Y’ello?

Donnie: Where’s Mikey? He texted me saying he was being kidnapped.

Casey: Mikey? Whaddya mean, he’s right next to me-

Casey:

Casey: I’ll call you back. *hangs up*

Casey: THE NEW HAIRCUT ISNT THAT BAD!

Mikey: WHO ARE YOU?!

Raph: You need to focus.

Mikey: I’m so focused right now.

Raph: You’re not even looking at me.

Mikey: I thought I saw something shiny.

Donnie: You often use humor to deflect your trauma.

Usagi: Thank you.

Donnie: It’s not a compliment.

Usagi: What I’m hearing you say is, you think I’m funny.

Raph: I wasn’t that drunk last night!

Leo: You were flirting with Lisa.

Raph: So what! She’s my partner!

Donnie: You asked if she was single.

Raph:

Mikey: And then you cried when she said she wasn’t.

April: We’re back from the gro—

April:

April: Mikey. Why are Karai and Shredder in the living room.

Mikey: Splinter told me to satanize the place!

April: Sanitize! He said sanitize, Mikey!

Casey: What time is it?

Leo: I don’t know, hand me the trumpet.

Leo: *obnoxiously plays it*

Raph: Whom the FUCK is PLAYING THE TRUMPET AT TWO IN THE MORNING—

Leo: It’s two am.

Shredder: We have your son

April: I don’t have a son?

Shredder: Then who just asked me for warm milk and to cut the crusts off his sandwiches?

April: Oh god, you have Mikey

Donnie: How did none of you hear what I just said?

April: I’ve been zoned out for the past two and a half hours.

Mikey: I got distracted halfway through.

Raph: Ignoring you was a conscious decision.

Lisa: You are irrationally angry 365 days a year.

Raph: Well, that’s just your personal opinion, I don’t have anger issues. Do you guys have anger issues?

Mikey: Well, I wouldn’t call it an issue, as that would imply it’s something you can fix.

Raph: I have issues

Leo: Finally, you admit it! The first step to healing is acceptance—

Raph: With you.

Splinter: Where are you going?

Casey: To get ice cream or commit a felony, I’ll decide on the way.

Mikey: Hey, I think I got your lunch *holds up a note that says “I am so very proud of you. Love, Splinter.”

Leo: Oh, yeah, I didn’t think this was for me. *Holds up a note that reads: “Please be good. For the love of God, please be good” from Raph*

Donnie: Your feelings matter.

Leo: You’re not a burden.

Mikey: Murder is ok.

Raph: It’s ok to ask for help.

Raph: WHOEVER CAUSED THIS MESS IS GOING TO—

Donnie: It was me…

Raph: …be forgiven because everyone deserves a second chance.

Lisa: Ok, you’re driving, and Leo and Donnie are crossing the road. What do you hit?

Casey: Oh, definitely Donnie, I could never hit Leo.

Also me: But that means you have to get through seasons 1 and 2 first to plant those seeds.

ALSO me: That means you have to actually finish writing the first episode.
