How Long Will Mixing Last?
The Tamagotchi M!X was released back in the summer of 2016 to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tamagotchi. This device brought a major new feature that changed the game, the ability to mix genetics of Tamagotchi’s to form a unique offspring! This feature has been present in both the Tamagotchi M!X and the most recent release, the Tamagotchi Meets/On/Some.
While this is truly an awesome feature that we love, it sometimes has us missing the purebred Tamagotchi characters. You are unable to raise purebred characters after the first generation, from there on out you are creating unique offspring based on the parents genetics. There are some members of the Tamagotchi community that really enjoy the mixing feature, and others who wouldn’t seeing it left behind in a future version.
If you saw the Tamagotchi Pix prematurely listed on Amazon last month, then you may have noticed that the graphics on the box nor on the device featured a mixed character. This is a bit unusual because the Tamagotchi On box does feature several mixed characters which allows Bandai to showcase the possibilities of offspring. This has some fans speculating that the mixing feature might be on it’s way out very soon. Of course this is all speculation, and we do not know for certain if the mixing feature will be on the next version of Tamagotchi which is anticipated to be released later this year to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of Tamagotchi.
Only time will tell, but we want to ask you, are you a fan of the mixing feature? Would you be satisfied with the next version if there was no mixing?
