DREAM_66  ```~ on "The Synchronization of a Splitting Self-Concept"  Sun Shining Optimism is an actualizing phase in the diary psychonautics project NYKDLN, the persona from which ™CENTURY was created. It should be noted that this is the first time that NYKDLN and ™CENTURY are identified as a cohesive project. ™CENTURY was created as a separate personality from that which is presented through NYKDLN. This 'splitting' of 'self-concept' was first presented in November of 2012 as a means to recapture the innocence and lack of predisposition apparent in the first two NYKDLN full lengths "In My Childhood" and "Scrone Cruise". When listened with a keen ear, one can recognize a similar sample palette present in the aforementioned NYKDLN documents and the first two ™CENTURY documents "Dancing With The Stars" and "Herbashine". These documents occurred during a notable period in the NYKDLN story, when listeners began to hear an overwhelming sense of confusion, self-consciousness and existential crisis. This was certainly the case, as one can feel the apprehension and anxiety present in such releases as "HOT WHEELS RACE TRACK", "NEW MEDITATIONS", "Fox" and "SYNCHRONICITY". Following these documents, last fall's "PENNS WOODS PT. II" by ™CENTURY and this spring's "Free Gucci Man Cruise 740" by NYKDLN, demonstrate the shift from self-consciousness to self-awareness. "PENNS WOODS" shows the creator slowing down the pace, breathing, relaxing and contemplating, whereas "Cruise 740" archives the final breaths of identity diffusion and the seeds of self-actualization are planted.
