Lore is she somehow noclipped and lost her memories, the thing that makes her more of an entity is that her hair contains the memories and personality of her old self (snarky, sassy, sarcastic, and a little mean) while this amnesiac version is timid, scared and very polite. You can faintly see the eyes of the entity in her hair

I love my girl Lain but when she learns she was made without purpose, no one to love her but no one to hate her, only grave indifference and the only one who ever loved her wasn't a human.
I just think Adam and Lain are the inhumane made to believe they are human twins :)

Lain fought her origins, if she was going to be here she ought to find a way to save these pitiful people. Ever since Adam succumbed to his alternate form, Lain lost her only family, Adam. She thought to herself "can I transfer these people's consciousness to the digital world?"

"I should be proud." She muttered to the monitor, one person stood in the world she created. "So why am I frowning?" The bodies piled up after every experiment, and the only success was this person.
Running out of luck, messing up every experiment. Was she playing god? After what she thought was fighting back her origins, was she any different from the alternates who killed these pitiful people?
